Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-05-27. By accessing or using RenoSheets.com (the “Site”) you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Estimates only

All calculations, quantities and suggestions are estimates for general planning purposes only. Actual requirements vary with measurements, site conditions, waste, product and installation. Always verify quantities — and round up where appropriate — before purchasing or beginning work.

No professional advice

RenoSheets is a planning aid, not a substitute for a licensed contractor, engineer, architect or other professional. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, financial or safety advice. You are solely responsible for following local building codes, obtaining required permits, and working safely.

Eligibility & acceptable use

You must be the age of majority where you live, or use the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes, and not to misuse, disrupt or overload it, scrape or harvest it in bulk, reverse-engineer it, resell or commercially exploit it, or use it in any way that infringes the rights of others.

Intellectual property

The Site — including its text, calculators, design and content — is owned by RenoSheets or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. Anything you enter or save (your measurements, projects and notes) remains yours.

No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any calculation is accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RenoSheets and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, materials, time or opportunity, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or your reliance on its calculations — including buying too much or too little material, project costs, delays, property damage or injury. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to CAD $20.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RenoSheets and its operators from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Your data & backups

RenoSheets has no accounts and no server-side database. Everything you create or save — calculator results, projects and kanban boards — is stored only in your own browser on your device, and is never transmitted to or stored by us. This data can be permanently lost if you clear your browsing data, use private/incognito mode, switch browser or device, or if your browser otherwise removes stored data. You are solely responsible for backing up anything you want to keep — use the Export backup option on the My Sheets page to save a copy you can re-import later. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RenoSheets is not liable for any loss of, or inability to recover, data stored in your browser.

Third-party links, ads & pricing

The Site shows third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) and contains affiliate links to third-party retailers (see our Affiliate Disclosure). These third parties, and their products, content, availability and pricing, are outside our control; we do not endorse them and are not responsible for them or for your dealings with them. The tool does not generate prices.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Severability & governing law

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer-protection rights. Questions: [email protected].
